Material required: Two rollers (One contain Magnet), Conveyer Belt or rubber tube, Motor.
If impurity of magnetic particle is there in the ore then the fine powder of ore is allowed to fall on the conveyer belt as shown in fig. there is the permanent/ electro- magnet attached to one of the roller which attracts the magnetic particles and fall near, the remaining particles fall away because of not being attracted. Thus by this method the impurity of magnetic particles is removed from the ore.
