The wave machine is a very simple device used to demonstrate the transverse waves. John N. Shive invented the Shive wave machine (also known as the Shive wave generator).
Material required: Rods, Metal wire, stand etc.Description: The wave machine consists of a set of horizontal rods connected at the center by thin metal wires. When you move the rod on the end, it transmits energy to the other rods through the wire. This machine produces moving transverse waves.
